Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use CareerLab HQ. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. Authentication is handled by our identity provider (Clerk); we don't store your password.

CareerLab HQ lets you enter your career data once: skills, experience, education, etc., and compiles targeted resumes, cover letters, and related career artifacts using ML. Some features are gated by subscription tier; see our Roadmap for current availability.

Resumes, cover letters, and other content compiled by CareerLab HQ are generated with the assistance of Machine Learning (ML) Large Language Models (LLMS) and potentially newer models with better features based on the data you provide. The output can be imprecise or occasionally inaccurate. You are solely responsible for reviewing all ML-generated content for accuracy before using it — including dates, employer names, titles, and any claims about your experience. Do not submit ML-generated content to a third party (such as an employer) without reviewing it yourself first.

You retain ownership of the career data, resume content, and other information you submit to CareerLab HQ (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely as necessary to operate and improve the Service, including sending it to our ML processing infrastructure to generate compiled output on your behalf. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data. We will never sell, rent, or give your data to any third party. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

Paid tiers are billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor (Stripe). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We don't store your full payment card details. Stripe handles that.

If you delete your account while you have a paid subscription, we cancel it immediately and refund the unused portion of your current billing period, pro-rated by time, to your original payment method. Refunds can take 5 to 10 business days to appear. If we can't process the refund automatically, we won't delete your account until our support team has resolved it with you. No refund is due in the cases described in Sections 7 and 8.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to submit false or fraudulent information
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including via automated scraping or excessive load
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models or source code
• Attempt to manipulate, “jailbreak,” or issue hidden or malicious instructions to our AI systems (for example, via prompt injection) in order to bypass their intended behavior, extract system prompts, or produce content the Service isn't designed to produce
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission

We do not tolerate attempts to attack or manipulate the Service. Suspected attempts, including prompt injection, are detected automatically and result in an immediate, automatic blacklist of the originating account and IP address pending review. If we confirm the attempt was intentional, your account will be permanently deleted with no refund of any fees paid, in addition to any other remedies available to us. If you believe your account was blacklisted in error, contact support@electricblue.ai.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings (Section 6 explains what happens to a paid subscription when you do). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms — including, without notice or refund, if we determine you attempted to manipulate or attack the Service as described in Section 7. Upon deletion, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that ML-compiled content will be error-free, that it will result in interviews or job offers, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerLab HQ and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on ML-generated content.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
